When you're on the forum for developping a software, you don't look for third-party stuff, but you suggest things to integrate them in next releases ! So YES, i would like that REAPER itself and all alone can handle audio AND midi AND synchro between two DAW, without having to use third-party stuff. In the end, those things end up slowing down your coputer or cerating conflicts between applications. But the fact is you can't have every DAW of the world running on your single PC, you can't spend hours or days to test every feature of a DAW before realizing that you will never use it again.Īnd i can't have Freewire AND midi OX AND Ext AND jsultram AND Asio4all AND everything that is supposed to help you for "one trick pony stuff" that lacks in your main DAW. On Kvr or other music-related forums, there is not one day without somebody telling "try Ext". Same thing when looking for a slicer : "Arcdev stuff won't work ? check Ext !" Ok, thanks, but that's not what i'm looking for. When i was looking for a sampler to use in Reaper, i heard "you really should try Ext". Ok, but 'im talking abvout Reaper, not Ext. The tips are often goods (and i don't say that about Pipeline audio who suggested me to use MidiOx for midi cross application).īut when i said "that Midi learn for all vst parameters & midi events would be great for Reaper",somebody suggested me "try Ext, it is handy for midi learn".

I have really nothing about Ext which looks amazing, but the fact is i'm quite bored with people suggesting "so easy" ways of doing things that lack in a software.
